History
The company was established in 1994. An agreement about the establishment of a limited company was signed on the 24th June 1994 by Mr Ivan Pařízek, Mr Milan Přibyl, Mr. Jiří Růžička and Mr Roman Šatalík. On the 1st July 1994 the company was registered in the Commercial Register. The company´s activity was launched on the 1st September 1994.
The company started its operation with a staff of 22 members. Almost all of these workers had contributed to the development of an automated tax information system (ADIS) in their previous employment ( PVT) and thus GIST had been given the part of project implementation since the very beginning. The ADIS project became the primary activity that led the company and created the conditions for its further growth.
In the middle of the year 1995 the development of controlling management information started. The combination of controlling consultancy with the implementation of controlling management information systems have remained our major competitive advantage in this area. The projects of controlling implementation supported by the implementation of Business Intelligence systems have been gradually added to other products in related areas of management and information systems.
Since the year 2001 the company has acted as a consultant in the field of European Communities support implementation as an advisor to the Ministry of Regional Development and has been offering its advisory services in the area of grants obtained not only from the European Communities Structural Funds but also from other funds.
ASD Software, s.r.o. located in Šumperk, began an activities on the 1st April 1995, in which our company has a 20% share. ASD Software, s.r.o. focuses on the development of information systems, implementation of information systems for the organizations management, editorial systems implementation and other services in the field of ICT.
GIST Consulting, s.r.olocated in Žilina is wholy owed by GIST, s.r.o. and was launched on 31st March, 2007. Through this subsidiary we have actively entered the Slovak market and as a result the business, consulting and implementation capabilities have been strengthened for our existing and new Slovak customers.
In the first five years of GIST’s operation, the number of employees has increased gradually and since 1999 its has varied between 70 and 80 employees.
From the beginning the company was located in leased premises in the Business Centre in Hradecká 1151, Hradec Králové. In December 2002, GIST moved to its own building constructed on the Aldis site in Hradec Králové (noted in the Commercial Register in 2003).
